Homebuyer Education Program

Buying a home is one of the largest investments that one may make in their life. So why not be prepared and be educated before beginning the process?

A new homebuyer education class will be offered to help prospective homebuyers learn more about managing their money, what they can afford, mortgages and loan products, and understanding credit scores.

The classes will start January 8th and will be held monthly on the second Saturday from 8:30am - 12:30pm. To complete the class one must attend two sessions.

The first location will be at the NorthWest Communities Development Corporation, 217 S. Cedar, Independence, Missouri. Future classes will be held at other convenient Independence locations.

The cost for the class is $40. Included in the cost of the class is an individual consultation, a free credit report and review, and a comprehensive manual and guide to buying and owning a home.

Those interested in signing up for the class can contact John Tramel at (816) 352-4489 or email john_tramel@indep.k12.mo.us

The classes are sponsored by a partnership between the Community Services League, 12 Blocks West and the NorthWest Communities Development Corporation.
